John David Ameen was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He moved to South Florida in 1987 to attend the University of Miami. He graduated from the University of Miami in 1991 with general university honors. John completed his law degree at the University of Miami in 1994.

Since graduating from law school, John has been fighting for the rights of injured Floridians and protecting consumers in insurance litigation. In1998, John became the founding partner of a law firm that exclusively represented victims of personal injury and insurance disputes. In January 2007, John joined forces with Gary Paige and Adam Trop and the firm was renamed Paige, Trop & Ameen. John leads the firm’s first party insurance litigation, personal injury pre-litigation, and class action divisions.

Professionally, John is a member of the Florida Bar Association, the Broward County Bar Association and the Florida Justice Association. John is a former recipient of the Best Attorney in Coral Springs Award by The Coral Springs Forum. John is additionally licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Personally, John resides with his wife Jane and their three children in Parkland, Florida where he is very involved in the community. He is involved with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Broward County and heavily involved with coaching youth sports.
